Recently, I found out that my NS liability is not 2 years, it is 2 years 6 months. For those who might not know about me, I retook A levels during year 2004. Henceforth, they took me for a disruptee and altered my ORD from 9th december 2006 to 9th apr 2007. The authority only changed it on 14th August 2006. I was quite devastated, shocked and depressed. At that point of time, I could not take it and called one of my friends. I broke down when I was in the conversation with her.

This is what I said to her,
"Four more months, four more months of no freedom, no rights, exhaustion, troubles. I had plans for my ORD leave/off, I wanted to do a lot of things for myself but they took it away. I'd 5 more days to count down but now I found out that I'd four more months to go. I don't know what to do now, I can hardly even think for myself anymore"

This is her reply,
"It's only four more months, if this first hurdle in life you cannot get past, don't talk about getting into the society and survive. If this is the best platform to grow stronger then please prove to yourself that you will be the strongest. You should make use of this problem to seek out best solutions for yourself. You're already 21, grow up Kent. Make use of the government time and allowance, make the best out of it"

Took me 15minutes to stop crying, I can't help it..
But her words shook me up, I know I'd to be strong and make the best out of it.
I'd to be positive and strive towards the promise I made for myself.

Went out with Chuhui today. It was very rush as I was late in meeting her at Hougang MRT. Had to ran all the way there to meet her, perspiring -_-.

We alighted at CityHall and began to shop around as we were not that hungry yet. We had a place in mind so we wandered around CityLink. We went into Times and I read the book, 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' I'll touch on my opinions on this book in my next entry. Quite lazy to blog it as I know it's going to be a lengthy one!

We became a lil hungry and we chose New York New York to be the place for lunch. The ambience is nice.. the design .. and the service is really cool. The place is segmented into several areas and each area has a few waiter/waiteress attached to that area. They're very friendly and approachable. We picked pasta for our lunch and the serving is decent. We could not finish our food, maybe too much for us ._.
We talked a lot on.. our life, perception towards certain issues.. future.. and doubts. It was really nice to share with each other our opinions and ideas. She's a good listener as well as someone who can provide views and encouragements. We continued our gaigai-ing and went home soon after. It was a pleasant trip.

Anyway, left 8 more working days before I get to clear my leave and off. It is a great piece of news cause I know I can carry out my plan really soon. A rough idea of what I am going through next, there's so many things to do! It's really worth anticipating when I know what I've in mind for my period of clearing leave and off.
